Airplane Magic!

Tonight Jaxon and I shared a moment of pure magic. As I was cooking dinner, he was looking out the living room window. Then with all the toddler excitement he could muster, he yelled over to me, "Mommy, mommy, airplane" while pointing his little finger into the sky. A little less than a month ago, the two of us had flown on an airplane back to MO and that was pretty exciting for him. But this was the first time he recognized and pointed out an airplane flying in the sky.

Wanting to embrace and enjoy his little world I knelt down beside him to take in the wonderous airplane. We watched as the lights from the plane got closer and closer and then just before it flew over our house I lied on my back and grab Jaxon placing him on his back too and we watched as the big airplane flew over us. Then we got up and ran acrossed the house to the dinning room and watch the airplane swoop down as it descended and made its way to the airport. His was all smiles and giggles and it was in that minute that I was so thankful to have a large living room window, a cloudy sky and an airport nearby; the perfect recipe to create a simply magical moment for us to share.
